West Maui

West Maui is comprised of Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili and Kapalua. Each of these resort areas has its own character. If you are planning a West Maui day, then water activities, shopping and dining are a must. A typical day on west Maui includes, whale watching (November through April), shopping and a seaside view of the setting sun. End your day with elegant dining at any of the fine restaurants in Kaanapali.

Day trips are available to the islands of Molokai or Lanai. The Lahaina Cruise Company departs Lahaina Harbor twice a day to Molokai and Expeditions departs from the same harbor several times a day to Lanai.

Central Maui

Central Maui is home to Old Wailuku Town and modern Kahului.
Kahului plays host to government facilities and many of Maui's commercial business's. Upon arrival to the Kahului Airport, make one of your first stops Costco, located just 2 minutes from the Airport on Dairy Road.

South Maui

Twenty some odd years ago, this sun drenched coastline was nothing more than kiawe/mesquite trees and inaccessible beaches. Today, South Maui is home to Maalaea Bay, Makena and the community of Kihei. This relatively new area is dedicated to family and fun. South Maui is a popular area for water sports, shopping and dining.

East Maui

If you're planning a day trip to East Maui, plan on going twice! Upcountry Maui and Haleakala one day and the slow winding drive to Hana the next. If can't find a local to give you the insights of the drive to Hana, then consider purchasing the Hana Cassette Guide, call 808.572.0550. Pop in the CD and drive the Hana coast without missing a beat.
Haleakala (House of the sun). Many journey here to witness sunrises and sunsets atop to the 10,000 foot summit. Plan in stopping in at the park headquarters for useful information that describes the region. This is a must do for your Maui vacation. At the foot of Haleakala is Pukalani Country Club and Terrace Restaurant, a great place for lunch after visiting the summit.
There are great shops and attractions upcountry as well. Paia town is alive with color and home to Ho'okipa, considered to be the best windsurfing in the State of Hawaii.
If nothing else, take time to visit Maui's agricultural industry, Tedeschi Vineyards, the Alii Kula Lavender Farm and the Surfing Goat Dairy. Other places to visit on East Maui:
